Regional Executive Employee Benefits – IL/MN

Our client is a global leader in insurance, risk management and consulting services. They help businesses grow, communities thrive, and people prosper.

As the Regional Executive, you will have accountability for supporting their Special Markets employee benefits business in Illinois and Minnesota. You must reside in the Chicago metro area. You will partner with their key PEO client to support their new business sales and retention goals. You will spend your time working with the PEO sales and retention teams strategizing and providing productive and proactive carrier, healthcare trend and benefits strategy insights and recommendations to help the business grow. **There is no cold-calling in the role—IT’S DESIGNED TO ASSIST IN THE SALES PROCESS FROM A BENEFIT PERSPECTIVE**

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the PEO’s benefits expert.
  • Research and analyze data in order to target enhancement of a PEO prospect or client’s current benefits program and recommend strategies based on the client’s business goals.
  • Manage an assigned territory (IL and MN) with focus on client satisfaction.
  • Train and develop new PEO client staff related to the PEO’s healthcare options and overall industry updates.
  • Work on individual or corporate projects assigned by the management team.

Skills For Success

  • Experience in group healthcare sales and/or account management: Small and Mid-Market
  • Experience with group healthcare carrier(s) and/or brokerage
  • Experience working with a variety of benefit administrators- Experience with PEO is a plus but not required.
  • Sound organization and time management talent
  • An ability to communicate clearly and effectively between key stakeholders.
  • Collaborative approach and ability to thrive in a matrixed environment

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years related experience
    –OR–
    High School Diploma/GED and 8 years related experience required.
  • Group Life, Accident, Health and HMO Insurance License required (in any of the above states)
